Techniques

My preferred methods currently are monoprinting and lino.  Lino designs can be fabulous: they are concrete and reproducible.

However monoprinting is my preferred process: I love the uncertainty of it, the elements of chance, and the originality of every print I make.  For me there’s never a pre-conceived outcome – it’s wonderful to ‘play’, the process is experimental and therefore exciting (sometimes exasperating!)  I tend to use natural materials to make my print work – usually collected from my own garden or my surrounding area – Dartmoor.  I find it exciting to be not quite in control of the process.
