After the process of pouring smelted aluminium into the pomegranates there remains only charred skins with some seeds and mould present inside. These are displayed on a thin rectangular piece of perspex supported by a charred metal frame.

I’m Angela Hilton – contemporary visual artist and print-maker. 

makermakr combines two very different aspects of my practice: conceptual visual art and print making.  I love both for different reasons.  My original, affordable prints make great cards and framed gifts for special friends and family. 

I love the element of chance and experimentation in my process.  The development of my more conceptual visual art practice tests my thinking/philosophy and values – my interest in looking beneath the surface and finding deeper meaning for understanding life/the human condition. 

At the moment I’m working on ways to bring these two quite different practices closer together – it’s challenging.
